Well, how could we have had any better group of students and experiences
in Haiti. These students chose to expand their horizons literally to
the sunrise over the Caribbean on New Year’s to the full immersion in
the reality of poverty and desperation of some world citizens. Our
hearts were touch many times and our minds boggled as we learned more
about the world and ourselves. Now that we and our luggage (I hope) are
all home safely, we as a class and each individually must dig deeper
within and determine what we do with this new-found awareness. For
each, it will be different, but for me, I thank everyone and their
families for accompanying and supporting this Purdue first effort for
College of Agriculture. Thank you.
